If you’re looking for reasonable sweet gifts, you will love this post. These candle gifts are cute for stocking stuffers, add it to a basket your making or just a simple “just because” gift. I really do love these three scents at Dollar Tree: Pumpkin Pie, Sugar cookie, and Apple Pie. Because I plan on giving these out as gifts this year for some of my friends, teachers and employees – I had to make cute printables, to dress up my candle gift. Download Here
I know, I know- It’s August and I am posting Halloween, but If you’re a crafter you know every store is full of Halloween crafts and décor already. I have come across some things that I knew I could make cheaper and have found some things that are a great deal. SO I needed to share. I was at Jo-Ann Fabrics the other day admiring all their Halloween décor and came across these sugar skull candles. They were selling them for $6.99 Very cute, but I remember coming across these candles at Dollar Tree.
Well in the next aisle at Jo-Ann’s I found these Sugar skull embellishment’s.
For two they were $4.99 with 25% off, making it $3.75. I turned my craft into two projects. I came across these goodies as well and couldn’t believe the price. They were not on sale but even if they were 50% off the price is still crazy. I drink wine so I have wine bottles already able to use, but even if you don’t drink wine find a friend that does. You can also ask restaurants that serve wine if you can recycle their bottles for them. Buy a can of spray paint. I always buy mine at Wal-Mart for less than $4.00. I wanted to spray my bottle with a gloss black instead of chalkboard. The best tip for spray painting is to give yourself enough space to avoid paint runs.
Once dried I added one of my sugar skulls.
For my candle, all I did was add the other sticker.
I also found this pumpkin at Dollar tree that I spray painted.
I made myself a cute little arrangement for just a few dollars, with plenty of spray paint left for many more projects.
Yes, it’s that time of year – that everything in the craft stores inspires me to start crafting again. This project was inspired by these adorable mini mason jars I came across in Dollar Tree the other day. Two jars for $1.00! Last Christmas I made my associates a sugar scrub and they all loved them. When making sugar scrubs the recipes are endless. I have seen some made with just about everything. This recipe is simple: 3 ingredients
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of olive oil or coconut oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix all your ingredients together and place in your little jars. This recipe filled 4 jars. Because everything is just cuter with a printable, I made a free set to share. I gave a few of these to my friends and my daughter’s teacher.

I had to share my easy and cheap Halloween craft I did the other night with my children. We all have seen the adorable Halloween crafts made from wood all over Pinterest. Well the other night I was cleaning out my cabinets and I thought these boxes would work perfect for my characters. Literally all you do is wrap your boxes with streamers, decorate up and your done in minutes. Your children will have a blast making these.
For my little mummy girl: I first taped my box closed. Next, I wrapped in toilet paper since you can see through the white streamers. Then I wrapped my white streamers over and over the box using double sided tape. For the eyes you can use goggly eyes, I came across this package at Dollar Tree that had stickers for Halloween characters. We had plenty of stickers left over they could still decorate their paper character. On the side of the box I glued this cute little spider.
These stickers worked great I did add a little hot glue so they would stick better to my streamers.
Best place to buy streamers is at Dollar Tree they come in a two pack, next Party City has them for less than a $1
I used chalkboard paint marker for this little cat. For the cat ears I just cut a piece of cardstock and used my black streamer over the paper.
Oh Dollar Tree how I love finding cute little gift ideas at your store! Dollar Tree is always a hit or miss for me, sometimes I go in and find nothing and then sometimes I find myself spending over $30 in one trip, who does that! Well one of the things I found were these adorable pumpkin pie candles that came in little mason jars. The best part they smell amazing! I am creating a fall basket for my bestie because we both love fall so much, so Happy National Fall Day should be a gift giving holiday! So I created this cute free printable that says “You’re sweet as Pumpkin Pie” to cover up the Dollar Tree generic label – which the label easily pealed off. Download Here for your free set
You can cut these out or punch out to turn into a tag also. I don’t know how I passed kindergarten because I cannot cut a perfect circle apparently. But they do have circle punchers.
Next I found a pretty fall burgundy color ribbon at Dollar Tree that I tied around my jar. They also have apple cinnamon that I need to create a label for Christmas gifts. When I do I’ll be sure to share it. Happy Fall!
